Nestled in a wooded area alongside Strom Thurmond Lake, Hickory Knob Retreat Center offers full-service amenities for your next meeting or retreat. With full-service catering and several lodging options, the park is the ideal location for small to large group meetings.
Lodging
Lodging options at Hickory Knob State Pak include hotel rooms, cabins and campsites. An 18-hole championship golf course caters to tournaments. Tennis courts, skeet shooting, archery, boating and a swimming pool can be used for team building exercises or after-hours relaxation.
Catering
Our full service catering is available for banquets and receptions. Buffet and plated menus are available for breakfast, lunch and dinner in our spacious dining room. The catering team will customize box lunches for groups on the go and will work with you to accommodate special menu needs.
Golf
One of the most popular features of Hickory Knob is our 18-hole, championship golf course. Why not incorporate a round of golf or two with your meeting agenda? The pro shop staff and our sales manager will work with you to make tee times and other arrangements for your group.

McCormick Meeting Room
For smaller groups, the McCormick meeting room with views of Thurmond Lake, accommodates up to 60 people theatre-style.
Hickory Knob Convention Center
The Convention Center features a fireplace, kitchen and restrooms and will accommodate up to 100 people theatre-style.
Long Cane Center
The spacious Long Cane Center, also called “The Barn,” includes a kitchen and restrooms and will seat up to 200 people theatre-style.
Mt. Carmel Meeting Room
With a view of Thurmond Lake, this meeting room is ideal for up to 60 people seated theatre-style
Bordeaux Dining Room
The Bordeaux Dining Room, located adjacent to the main dining area, can seat up to 100 people banquet style.
